Originally from Belarus, Ilya Kudzelka built his career through a combination of academic excellence, technical expertise, and relentless curiosity. After beginning in fund accounting and private markets administration, he earned a Master of Finance from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management and the Chartered Financial Analyst designation before advancing through increasingly senior roles at Westcourt Capital
Today, Kudzelka plays a key role in investment research and due diligence, bringing a disciplined approach to understanding not only what happens in markets, but why it happens. He has also contributed to operational innovation at Westcourt Capital, helping develop a portfolio optimization tool that enables portfolio managers to evaluate allocations and risk characteristics more efficiently.
Kudzelka views the Rising Stars recognition as both an achievement and a responsibility.
