Sharjeel Abdulla, BCom

As Principal, Research and Analytics, Sharjeel focuses on conducting operational due diligence on both prospective and current alternative investments. He works closely with the Research & Analytics team to evaluate operational risks, internal controls, and governance frameworks across private equity, private credit, and real assets.

Prior to joining Westcourt, Sharjeel was a Manager in the operational due diligence team at a Canadian institutional investment manager, where he led the evaluation and risk assessments of external managers across private equity, private credit, infrastructure, real estate, and hedge fund strategies. Previously, Sharjeel worked at a global alternatives advisory firm in Toronto, conducting operational due diligence on investment managers. Earlier in his career, he supported fund accounting, investor reporting, and operational workflows for hedge funds and private market strategies at a global fund administrator.

Sharjeel earned a Bachelor of Commerce from York University and an Accounting Diploma from Seneca College. Outside of work, he enjoys playing and watching soccer, cooking, and travelling.
