Lawrence Mak

As Data Analyst, Lawrence supports the Westcourt team on client performance reporting and the development of Westcourt’s database and reporting software. He also collaborates with the Operations Team in the development, implementation, and improvement of processes across the various business units at Westcourt.

Prior to joining Westcourt, Lawrence worked as the lead data analyst at an investment management firm specializing in alternatives. He created and maintained the firm’s backend data architecture and reporting systems, automated portfolio data integration, and built analytics dashboards to monitor key performance metrics across multimillion dollar portfolios. Lawrence also led risk and performance analyses to identify portfolio trends, improve data accuracy, and support senior management in optimizing investment decisions and capital allocation. Lawrence’s past experience also includes roles in data governance at a Big Four accounting firm and data analytics at a Toronto based mobile computing software startup.

Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Arts and Business (Honours) degree from the University of Waterloo, majoring in Economics with a specialty in finance.
