Deniz Baydar

As Associate, Private Wealth, Deniz supports the Portfolio Managers in their day-to-day activities, portfolio reviews and proposals, and ongoing client correspondence.

Prior to joining Westcourt, Deniz was an Associate at a leading global wealth manager, where he served as the first point of contact for multiple Portfolio Managers on live trade execution and on the evaluation of public and private market opportunities. He also assisted with the construction of customized asset allocations across fixed income, equities, private equity, private credit, infrastructure, and real estate. Deniz managed liquidity and capital call funding for portfolios with significant private equity exposure, and led the firm’s implementation of an alternative investments platform.

Earlier in his career, Deniz was a private equity analyst at a lower middle-market investment firm in Toronto, where he sourced acquisition targets, conducted due diligence, and presented investment recommendations to the firm’s investment committee.

Deniz earned a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Applied Economics from Queen’s University with a specialization in Statistics. He has also completed the Canadian Securities Course, Investment Management Techniques, Portfolio Management Techniques, and the Derivatives Fundamentals and Options Licensing Course through the Canadian Securities Institute. Deniz speaks English, French, and Turkish.
