Omer Siddiqui, CFA

Omer joined Westcourt Capital Corporation in 2019 and supports the Asset Management & Client Services team. Omer actively assists the Portfolio Managers in the portfolio construction process for prospective clients. This involves selecting appropriate asset classes, strategies, and fund managers to achieve a diversified portfolio that meets the client’s goals and risk/return objectives. Omer also works on creating quantitative models to project portfolio performance that meet the client’s income/growth objectives and prepares presentation materials, correspondence, and spreadsheets for the Portfolio Managers as required. Omer is registered as an Associate Portfolio Manager and Dealing Representative.

While completing the University of Waterloo’s Co-op program in Mathematics, Omer worked for RBC’s Wealth Management and Corporate Real Estate divisions. At RBC Wealth Management, Omer was an Equity Analyst for the Portfolio Advisory Group. Omer helped provide guidance to Investment Advisors at RBC Dominion Securities regarding market news, sector/asset allocation and company specific events. Omer also automated routine processes used in monthly reporting using Excel and Bloomberg. As a Financial Analyst in RBC Corporate Real Estate, Omer helped model the accounting costs of RBC’s real estate leases.

Omer graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2018 with a Bachelor of Mathematics co-op degree and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.
